a little dissapointed...

Roommate was going to be out of town this weekend but I just found out tonight that she isn't going now. I am really dissapointed. Now, don't get me wrong, I love living with my current roommate, she's not crazy, doesn't stink up our house with her smoking and numerous other things past rommates used to do and we get along really well, but I was so looking forward to having the apartment all to myself.

I get to spend Friday Night at Friday's Kids, so it won't be all that bad. :) I just wish it was going to be a little warmer this weekend. I could go read my book at the park (the book for bookclub that I haven't finished yet and bookclub is tomorrow!)

Busy, busy, busy...

Boy have things been busy lately. For a week, I wasn't home before 9 pm and it's taken it's toll. All I want to do this week is sleep!

Here are some of the highlights:

• Spent a couple of nights with the family. Youngest nephew left me a voicemail, it was so cute. Was told by my 2nd niece that I am her favorite aunt! (since she has 7 aunts I felt this was a great thing, even if she was just trying to avoid going to bed! And yes, it worked...I let her sit and rock with me a bit longer.)
• Spent some great time at Friday's Kids and played a great game of 'Duck, Duck, Goose'.
• Went to a fun basketball game with roommate.
• And in the midst of everything, I even got my laundry done!

Now, if I can just get through this week at work everything will be great. I've got a couple of days of vacation next week, added to the holiday, I don't have go all week! I can't wait for my vacation to start Friday at 5.

Halloween

I borrowed my brother's 4 kids tonight and took them to a spook alley. They were raising money for Friday's Kids and I thought it would be fun to go. The youngest 2 got a little scared and only went through with me once, but the older 2 had a blast and went 4 times. The youngest nephew kept saying "guy scare me". All in all it was a fun night.

My first post

So, here's my first post to my new blog!

About me: I live in Utah, am single and work really hard. Have a wonderful family and amazing friends.

I love to: Read (just finished "Pride and Prejudice" and loved it! Can't wait for Eclipse to come out!), do crafts, watch movies and play with my nieces and nephews. I now have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. They range in age from 1 month to 7 years old.

On weekends I: do laundry, clean the house and volunteer at Friday's Kids Respite (FKR). I love it there! The children are so cute and lovable!
